Autumn Vine Sneek Peek

The new Holiday Mini is coming in October. I got to preorder a couple of things and the Autumn Vine paper is my favorite. I will be buying packs and packs and packs. I gives me a whole new love for the color Sage Shadow. You all know that that is one of my least favorites colors. They could have retired it and I wouldn't have shed a tear. Not now. The color combo is so fresh and new that it has become one of my favorites. I couldn't wait to start using them.

This is what I came up with the first time I tried to use them. Not exactly like I had hoped, but I thought it was OK. The tree was a little hard to figure out. I is so big that it takes up a lot of the card base. You couldn't see much of the paper and that was what I was wanting to see. So cut off some of the tree and tried to figure out a way to make it look good on the card. I don't think I was that successful.

I actually finished the card, which is unusual. I usually end up filing it the "circular" file folder that is under my desk and holds all the other garbage that never comes out quite right. It was back to the drawing board, though. I decided to cut out the tree and mount it on a much smaller piece of Whisper White. I then cut out the leaves, as well as, stamping some onto the white base. I used dimensionals to make them pop. This is what I came up with in the end. I think I finally got it right!!

You can see the Autumn Vine paper and all of the tree. I like how the leaves look using the dimensionals. Now, don't you like Sage Shadow a little better with these colors? I know I do!
