Ballet Class and a Baby Boy card

Katie had her first ballet class last night. It was a combo class of ballet and tap. She was so excited to finally get to put on her dance outfit. She looked so sweet in her black leotard and pink tights. She even has the little pink flow-y skirt. I asked her if she liked it and she said, "it was great". I asked her what she learned and she said, "I can't remember, but it was great." LOL! That is so like her. She said the very same thing about her first day of kindergartn. Tomorrow night is soccer practice and Saturday is her very first soccer game. This ought to be funny! We're off to but cleats tomorrow when she gets home from school. Her only request was that they be pink.

I told you that I had gotten the Nursery Necessities set from Stampin' Up! and that I was going to be using it quite a bit. Well, I"m keeping my word. Here is another card using this set and one of the new "In Colors".
I tell myself every year that I'm not going to buy the In Colors because I don't want to get attached to just have them retire in a year. Oh, how I dearly miss my Groovy Guava! I caved and bought them all again this year. They were just too bright and cheerful to turn away.
Anyway, the card uses Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze (In Color), and So Saffron ink. I used the Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker to make the stitches. The cardstock is Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Baja Breeze and Whisper White. The Really Rust is the textured cardstock. You can't tell from the picture, but it adds alot to the card in person. The ribbon is from the last mini. It's the Chocolate poly-twill ribbon and I LOVE IT!! The scallops were made with the new scallop border punch from SU! If you don't have it, run, don't walk, and buy it from your nearest SU! demo.
As I promised, there will be more baby cards to come.

Hi, I just discovered your blog and you do such beautiful work! I am making some birth announcements for my BF and was wondering how you did the little criss cross on the top and bottom of the Baja Breeze cardstock. It adds so much and looks so sweet! Just email me at brittjae@hotmail.com when you get a second! Thanks!
