Hello Everyone!!

Well, today I am going to be busy packing for our 3 day trip to Arkansas Children's Hospital to see the great Dr. Lisa Buckmiller. Some of you know that my son has Hemangiomas, which are usually not a big deal. But he has 6 total (we just found another on on his back) so we have to be seen by a Vascular Anomalies Specialist and the closest one is in Arkansas. The hemangiomas don't hurt, which is a good thing, but some of his have to be treated due to the location and size (scalp, lip, nose).

Arkansas is only about a 6-7hr drive fron Huntsville, so that isn't that bad. I keep telling myself "it's like our drive to the beach". LOL Anyway, I had forgotten how much junk you have to pack for a 6 month old. Diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, bibs, tons of changes of clothes and that's just the stuff for the suitcases. He has to have something to sleep in because he isn't a snuggler like my Katie. He's likes to be in his bed, by himself.

Anyway, this is what I made last night in between loads of laundry. I'm sure that this one will be going to my Mom for keeping Katie while we are gone. She and Katie have a little understanding that "what happens at MiMi's house, stays at MiMi's house". I know I am going to come back home to a rotten little girl that has eaten powdered donuts for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 3 days. One who hasn 't gone to bed earlier than 10:00pm since we left her. And one who is allowed to eat crackers in bed while watching cartoons. But that's OK. That's what grandparents are for, right!
This is made using Kinda Thoughts. The patterened paper is by We R Memory Keepers Precious Metal collection. I love the soft look of them. My card base is Mellow Moss and I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink to make it have that shabby feel. I used Lots of Thoughts, which was a SAB set, for the sentiment that I framed in pewter hodgepodge. The ribbon is from Stampin' Up's Theatre collection. I also inked up the butterfly with Mellow Moss and then sponged the edges of the stamp with Chocolate Chip. That keeps up the shabby feel, too. I used the scallop punch for the flower. I stamped the flower again on Mellow Moss so I could cut out the inner petals and layer them on top of the scalloped flower. I added a photo corner using SU's photo corner punch. Thanks for looking and I hope you like it.

Wow-beautiful! I wish I could make something like that in between loads of laundry, lol! Great colors and a stunning layout. My middle child wasn't a snuggler as a baby, but she sure is now! Hope the trip went well.
